On his course, Srosh made use of the news room and ‘news days’ to try out different media roles and get familiar with equipment that he’d later use in his career. His work placements at Leeds TV and BBC Radio Leeds were the first steps in what’s already an impressive media career. Since graduating, Srosh has worked for Sky News in the 2019 General Election, BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Look North and BBC Inside Out. He’s now a journalist and producer at BBC Sports News, working on the BBC News Channel and 1, 6 and 10 o’clock bulletins.

Finding that this also came with an increase in standard of teaching and one-to-one time, she was able to improve her skills and get to grips with new technology like 3D printers. In her final project work, she designed a Glucose earring for monitoring blood sugar levels in people with diabetes, which led her to being a finalist of the '2020 Global Grad Show'.

Tyra’s placement at Project Group led to a full-time job after graduating. She’s now a Design Manager, using equipment like the 3D printers at Huddersfield to test and refine new designs and components before they are mass produced.
