The University endeavours to consider all areas of Sustainability when making purchasing decisions. Particular attention is paid to Economic, Environmental and Social concerns. It is appreciated that every single purchase has hidden human health, environmental, and social impacts and that it is possible to reduce adverse impacts by building positive relationships with suppliers and addressing these areas. The University also holds an important place within the local community and where regulation permits looks to ensure that spending benefits the local region.
