Mooting
Present legal arguments in a fictional appeal case in our purpose-built mock courtroom.
Mooting involves analysing a complex legal problem, conducting research, preparing written submissions, and delivering oral arguments. Moot problems often cover unresolved or evolving legal issues, with each side presenting two grounds of appeal. These proceedings take place in our purpose-built mock courtroom, so you can mimic a real court protocol, including judge-mooter interactions and feedback, enhancing your advocacy and legal reasoning skills.

Natalie Prowse
Lecturer
Natalie Prowse joined the University of Huddersfield as a Lecturer in 2014, advancing to Senior Lecturer in 2016. She leads modules in family law, justice, and professional conduct and has served as Course Leader for LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology since 2017.
Dr Kikelomo Kila
Lecturer
Kikelomo is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a specialist in climate change, renewable energy, and corporate regulation law in developing countries. In 2020 she was endorsed as an Exceptional Talent in Legal Research by the British Academy.
Dr Paul Abba
Lecturer
Paul holds a First-Class degree in Law and a Distinction in his Master’s, with a PhD in Environmental Law. He is a two-time Commonwealth Scholar and is 2019 he was recognised as an Exceptional Talent in Legal Research by the British Academy. His expertise span
