Our Literature students are taught by a diverse and dynamic group of teacher-scholars. Our interests cover a vast spectrum of texts and theoretical approaches: 17th Century women writers (Jessica Malay); Victorian adventure fiction and constructions of masculinity (Merrick Burrow); Modernist literature and philosophy (David Rudrum); Romanticism and War (Ildiko Csengei); Shakespeare and the pre-history of environmentalism (Todd Borlik); contemporary women writers and gerontology (Sarah Falcus); mobile communities in the long 19th Century (Jodie Matthews).
Our Creative Writing students are taught by industry professionals with a vast array of experience. Our staff are award-winning writers covering all forms and genres of Creative Writing, such as scriptwriting and novel writing (Michael Stewart), short fiction and experimental writing (Simon Crump) and poetry (Steve Ely).
