My name is Holly Barraclough and I'm your Student Experience Officer at Huddersfield Business School. The Student Experience Team and I are here to ensure you get the most out of your university experience, that your feedback is heard, and that you get the support you need to ensure you’re successful in your studies. We're always keen to hear how your studies are going, and what we can do to continuously improve your student experience!
We are committed to providing you with the opportunities to become a global professional and to achieve academic, professional, and personal success. We're here to ensure that you have an amazing experience with us, including excellent teaching, strong academic and pastoral support, and extensive curricular and co-curricular opportunities.
We also work closely with Huddersfield Students' Union, to ensure your voice is heard through the Academic Rep Programme, and to provide you with student-led events and activities through Academic Societies.
Each year, we offer students the opportunity to become the Academic Rep for their course. This role involves collecting feedback from your peers and working with the Students' Union and the Student Experience Team to voice this feedback. This is a great opportunity to expand your CV, as well as build strong working relationships with your course mates and academics! If you would be interested in becoming an Academic Rep for your course, please email HBS-StudentExperience@hud.ac.uk.
We also offer students the opportunity to get involved with their Academic Society! An Academic Society is a student-led group linked to your course of study. Students who take up a position on the committee receive training from the Students' Union and will also receive funding from the Students' Union to hold events and activities that would benefit you and your course mates! If your course has an Academic Society, all students studying the course receive a free membership. If you would be interested in getting involved with your Academic Society or getting one started for your Course, please email HBS-StudentExperience@hud.ac.uk.
