Current government reforms in education are focused on early childhood development and the importance of high quality early years provision in preparing young children and babies for the best start in life. So if you're aspiring to be an early years specialist and want to train to teach babies and young children from birth to five years, then this could be for you.
A highly skilled workforce is seen as critical in supporting high quality early years provision and so upon successful completion of your course you'll be awarded Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS). This reflects the significant role you'll have in working with young children. EYTS is awarded by the National College for Teaching and Leadership on behalf of the Department of Education.
