Jason explains how and why he began cave diving, how he deals with claustrophobia and his world record for the deepest cave dive in Pozo Azul, northern Spain.  Jason's record currently stands at nearly 9,000 metres, or to be exact 8.8 kilometres, also known as 5.5 miles

Interview with Huddersfield-born Jason Mallinson

Jason Mallinson was one of the British cave divers flown in to save the Wild Boars football team and their coach, who were trapped in Thailand’s Tham Luang Nang Non Caves in 2018. Here, Jason talks about how he got into cave diving, feeling claustrophobic and his world record for the deepest cave dive in Pozo Azul.
