If you’re looking for a fantastic Bonfire Night but aren’t sure where to go, Huddersfield Students’ Union, in partnership with DIGS at Storthes Hall Park, is hosting its annual Bonfire Night.
The event, which saw over 1,300 people attend in 2018, will take place on Tuesday 5 November 6pm – 8pm at Storthes Hall - and is set to be even bigger and better than last year.
The Bonfire and Fireworks display is open to students, staff and members of the public – there’s something for everyone to enjoy; with lots of fun-packed entertainment, rides for all ages, food stalls and refreshments, including toffee apples and bonfire sweets.
Huddersfield Students’ Union Community Officer, Bethany Woodcock said:
“The Bonfire has been moved to a better location on the site, meaning it can be bigger than last year and we’ll be putting on a huge fireworks display for the whole family to enjoy.
As a Students’ Union we put on a number of events throughout the year that are all about bringing students and people from the local community together, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to this family friendly event.”
Admission costs £3 for students, University staff and under 18s, £5 to the general public and under 12s can attend the event free.
Unfortunately sparklers will not be permitted for health and safety reasons.
The Storthes Hall Park bus service runs from the University Campus every 15 minutes and there is also limited free parking available at the venue for those who wish to drive.
