Eid al-Fitr 2024
What is Eid al-Fitr?
Celebrated by 1.9 million people worldwide, Eid is a celebratory festival which marks the end of Ramadan - a happy occasion and day of thanksgiving for Muslims! Eid al-Fitr predicted this year to take place on Wednesday 10th April, though the exact start and end date can vary due to the Islamic calendar following the lunar cycle.
If you would like to share well wishes with your colleagues on Eid, you can say ‘Eid Mubarak’, which means ‘happy Eid’!
Eid al-Fitr is the first of two Eid celebrations in the year - Eid al-Adha takes places later in the year, marking the second main holiday celebrated in Islam.
