Vietnam Office – International Office Overseas

The University of Huddersfield’s International Office has seven regional offices around the world, in Nigeria, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and Vietnam. These offices help to support the University's recruitment of international students and guide them in applying and enrolling.  

Whilst the University has had a presence in Hanoi, Vietnam for several years, a new Vietnamese Office in Hanoi opened in March 2023. The office is founded in partnership with International Education Service Provider Acumen and is headed by Tram Nguyen.  

Tram Nguyen

Tram has a wealth of student recruitment experience in Vietnam, where she has represented universities from North America and Australia. As part of her induction, Tram visited the campus in Huddersfield this month.  

Tram will manage our current university partnerships in Vietnam and provide consistent support for our joint programmes. This includes our partnerships with the Foreign Trade University, Hanoi National University of Education, and the National Economics University. We hope the new office will allow us to deepen the relationships we have with these universities, and with more regular contact we hope that we can develop new opportunities for our staff and students.  

Tram will also work with our network of agents and Vietnamese alumni to help showcase the value of a degree from Huddersfield to those considering studying with us. By linking with our alumni and members of the Vietnamese student society, applicants will be able to experience our friendly supportive community before they join us on campus.  

Tram’s strategic approach will also see her expand our network of partner schools and colleges across Vietnam to ensure we continue to increase our numbers of high-quality Vietnamese students. She will work colleagues across all the Schools at the University to help them to develop partnerships and carry out activities.
