International Student Barometer (ISB) 2023

KPI: ‘Top 25% in UK ISB for “integration” measures (and Top 10% overall) [International]

The International Student Barometer (ISB) survey will be released later this month to current UG/PGT/PGR students on campus. In support of the University’s international KPI for the student experience, the University has opted into the survey once again. The global survey tracks international student opinion across the entire student journey.

Alan Tobi, International Student Experience Manager is the University’s Project Lead; “This is a very important global benchmarking and measurement tool to help us understand where we are at as an institution with regards to the student experience and will provide us with valuable insights as to what needs doing ahead of the conclusion of the 2025 strategy map.” The ISB is run by iGraduate (Tribal) who will be conducting the online survey and contacting our student population via email. Questions will focus mostly on the arrival, learning, living and support experience of our students.

In 2022, the University achieved an overall satisfaction score of 89% and had the second highest response rate in the UK with 43% of students completing the survey.

This year, the ISB survey will run from 27 March – 5 June 2023 and colleagues in contact with our current international students during this period to encourage them to complete the survey, so we maximise completion response rates. Promotion across campus will start on the day of the launch due to embargo restrictions.

Alan also Chair’s the University’s International Student Experience Group (ISEG) that works on a delivery plan for the student experience and supports the work that goes into the ISB.

Colleagues with any questions should contact Alan Tobi directly.
