Jo Cox More in Common Centre Opening and relocation of current Faith Centre operations
Over the next few weeks, the current Faith Centre at Queens Street South will begin its process of decommissioning and closure, in preparation for moving to the new Jo Cox More in Common Centre. The below outlines the plans for providing prayer facilities to students and staff over the coming weeks:
Week commencing Monday 14th Nov: Last operational week of the current Faith Centre
Monday 21st Nov to Friday 2nd Dec: Centre closed for moving and decommissioning. Temporary Muslim prayer spaces will be provided on campus as below:

We are asking for this transitional period that users complete ablutions prior to arriving on campus as there will temporarily be no access to ablutions facilities.
Monday 5th December: Faith Centre and Counselling operations will be delivered from the Jo Cox More in Common Centre. This brand new, multi-purpose building, designed and finished to the WELL standard (WELL Precertification - Jo Cox building - University of Huddersfield), will provide a fantastic place for students and staff of all faiths and none to use during their time at the university.
Centre staff will be focussed on welcoming users and setting up business as usual operations through till the end of term, ahead of a more formal opening early in 2023. More details will follow in due course, please do come and visit to see this exciting new development on campus.
