We’re pleased to say that the Apollo Dashboard is now live for all staff (campus network only). Apollo is developed by the Planning and Business Intelligence service to provide routine and easy access to key strategic regulatory and reputational datasets, and to support progress toward the Strategy Map.
The dashboard was devised and named by the late Dr Paul Youngson, who many colleagues will remember as a sector-leading innovator in HE data analytics. The dashboard will not replace existing operational reports, and will not provide personal data, but rather will bring together multiple data sources to provide summary data linked to our strategic goals. In a simple sense it will develop into an interactive planning round document.
Reports on Apollo will be of two main types – Tiled Dashboard reports that will provide visual summaries of the various data sources, and table reports that will allow users to engage with a specific data source in more detail in a similar way to pivot tables in Excel. We have a number of new reports and dashboards in development, and currently we have the following reports available:
- Year on year Applications and Enrolment reports (five years of data) allowing any point of the year to be selected.
- Experimental mapping visualisations
- Response dashboard and table
- Results dashboard and table
- Nine years of JISC Sector enrolment data from the HESA Student Record (down to course level), kindly shared by the School of Computing and Engineering and hosted in Planning.
- Continuation, Completion and Progression metrics as used in the B3 Monitoring conditions, Access and Participation and TEF.
There’s tours on the site to get you started, and we’ll be hosting some overview sessions in the coming weeks. In the meantime, should you have any questions please do get in touch at apollodashboard@hud.ac.uk
