Professor Alex Florindo from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Dr Liane Azevedo from the University of Huddersfield, will share their research on early years physical activity, sedentary behaviour and development. Professor Florindo will talk about the Sunrise International study of movement behaviours in young children. This is a multi-country study with world-leading researchers in the early years, exploring how physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep are associated with child health and development. Particularly in children living in low and middle-income countries. Dr Azevedo will present her work on determinants of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in early years, focusing on their association with children's school readiness.

The event will take place on Tuesday 26 April from 12.00noon to 1.30pm. This is a hybrid event that will take place at the University of Huddersfield campus and online, via Microsoft Teams. Places available for the in-person event are limited to 30 attendees.
