Black History Month falls in October every year and is aimed at celebrating the culture, origins, histories and achievements of African and Caribbean communities and their diaspora. ‘So you want to be anti-racist?’ with Tre Ventour
Throughout this workshop, Tré will be addressing race issues, social justice and how we can become anti-racist.

Kirklees – Black History Month
Each year Black History Month is celebrated in Kirklees but due to the coronavirus outbreak, many of this year’s events will be held virtually. Kirklees Council have produced a booklet with details of events organised by community groups and individuals, local organisations and Kirklees Council.
Broaden My Bookshelf
The library have taken their ‘Broaden My Bookshelf’ campaign a step further and created the Reading List Toolkit for academics to diversify the literature that is embedded onto their courses. You can find out why it is important and how to get started.
