As OneDrive cloud storage has now been rolled out to all members of staff, please be aware that there is a known issue with saving EndNote libraries to cloud storage. If you are copying files from your K drive or the hard drive on your own computer, please ensure you do not copy across your EndNote library file (this will be a file ending in .enl, and an accompanying folder with the same name as the file, ending in .data – see screenshot for example).

Instead, please leave your EndNote file saved in your K drive or hard drive. If you wish to back it up online in order to use EndNote on multiple devices, please follow these instructions to set up an EndNote Online account and enable account sync.
Saving EndNote files in cloud storage such as OneDrive is known to corrupt the file over time. If you have already saved your EndNote library into OneDrive (or another cloud service such as DropBox) and it has corrupted, you may be able to recover the file by following these instructions. Or, if you had already set up an EndNote Online account and synced your library online, you should be able to export from your EndNote Online account and save a new local file.
