Huddersfield Business School to host two major conferences

Huddersfield Business School is delighted to host this summer:

The IAWBH is made up of scholars and practitioners who specialise in the field of workplace bullying and harassment. They seek to contribute to achieving fairness, justice, and dignity at work for all.

The UTSG aims to promote the significance of transport studies globally and to act as a reference point for those involved in transport research and teaching activities in 60 universities across the UK and Ireland.

 

14th International Association on Workplace Bullying & Harassment Conference

The conference will be held in the University’s Oastler Building and will focus on the topic of 'Building Bully-Proof Organisations & Respectful Work Cultures to Ensure Ethical Employment Experiences'. It will begin on Tuesday 25th June with the Doctoral Colloquium. The main conference will then follow on Wednesday 26th June to Friday 28th June.

Our keynote speakers are:

A drinks reception will take place on Wednesday 26th June at, Magic Rock Tap and a gala dinner will be held on Thursday 27th June at Woodman Inn giving delegates the chance to socialise with fellow academics from across the world and celebrate the conference theme.

It is an honour to host the 14th IAWBH Conference.  The Association is made up of scholars and practitioners who specialise in the field of workplace bullying and harassment. We stimulate, generate, integrate and disseminate research and evidence-based practice in the field of workplace bullying and harassment. Through this effort we seek to contribute to achieving fairness, justice, and dignity at work for all.

 

56th Universities’ Transport Study Group Annual Conference

The conference will be held between 1st and 3rd July in the Charles Sikes Building at the University of Huddersfield. The conference will celebrate the latest progress in transport research and operate a collaboration initiative for special issues with top-tier journals including Travel Behaviour and Society (Elsevier), Transportation Planning and Technology (Taylor & Francis), and IET Intelligent Transport Systems (Institution of Engineering and Technology). It will also provide mentoring opportunity matchups and introduce a 'meet the Editors' session.

Our plenary speakers are:

A drinks reception and dinner will take place on Monday 1st July at Lawrence Batley Theatre, as well as a gala dinner on 2nd July at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Involving plenaries with three of our finest thought-leaders, special issues with leading journals in our discipline, mentoring surgeries for academic development, a friendly stage (ideal for ECRs and PhDs) to present their work, a ‘meet-the-Editor’ session, the prestigious Smeed Prize for the best UK & Ireland PhD thesis and two wonderful dinners.
