International recognition as University given Queen's Award for Enterprise
The University of Huddersfield has been given the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category for International Trade.
The institution takes great pride in how it has fostered its international links in recent years, and currently welcomes around 3,400 students from 100 different countries.
In the last three years the University has seen a 510% increase in the numbers of postgraduate students from its key overseas markets, including India, Nigeria, China, Pakistan and Kuwait. This has helped it garner the Queen’s Award for International Trade for Outstanding Short-Term Growth in overseas sales.
The University’s response to the challenge of COVID-19 also helped its international students, with all teaching delivered online and an assessment process, called Score As I Learn, monitoring learning progress on a weekly basis.
