THE Fujian Normal University (FNU) was delighted to welcome the Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield, His Royal Highness The Duke of York, KG, to Fuzhou.
The University of Huddersfield has a Joint Programme in Electronics and Communications with FNU, with teachers from Huddersfield teaching in China and students from FNU travelling to the UK in return.
Approximately 100 students are currently studying in the first year in Fuzhou and the Chancellor presented a number of the best performing students with scholarships to study in Huddersfield next year
The University and FNU plan on expanding the collaboration through the introduction of more programmes and the hope is to see the project grow to over 1,000 students in the future.
A group of students from Huddersfield were also in Fuzhou at the same time as the Chancellor, under the Santander Universities Mobility Funding. They were able to spend some time at Fujian Normal University, before they headed back to Beijing to visit the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China.
