May is National Walking Month.  To celebrate this, during May the Occupational Health Department will be running another ‘Step Challenge’.  Take part in our challenge to help increase the amount of physical activity you do on a daily basis.

Between Wednesday 1 and Friday 31 May 2019, teams of between 2 and 6 people can compete to win a free lunch.  Steps recorded both in and outside of work will count.  Any type of pedometer or step recording software can be used to record your steps but you will have to provide this yourself.

This time, we will have more than one prize.  We want to encourage those who may usually be less active to take part and increase their activity levels.  Therefore, we will have the following prizes:

  • Overall Winners
  • Most Improved Team
  • Best Team Name

So that we can calculate the ‘Most Improved Team’, we will also have a ‘Baseline Week’ before the actual challenge begins which will be Monday 8 to Sunday 14 April.

For full details and how to enter the challenge, visit Occupational Health.

Good luck with the challenge!
