Did you know that as a member of staff at the University of Huddersfield, you are also a member of Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK)?

In my role as Head of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship here at the University, I am also the lead contact for EEUK, and sit on the Board of Directors for this organisation. I was recently asked if I could encourage colleagues across the institution to consider adding themselves to the EEUK mailing list, to find out about the wide range of events, funding opportunities and membership benefits that it offers.

Who are EEUK?

EEUK is the leading independent membership network for enterprise educators. It enables excellence by connecting educators and practitioners to learn from and inspire each other to develop their practice. The organisation communicates, connects and celebrates, the best practice in enterprise and entrepreneurial education emerging in Higher and Further Education and uses this to inspire, empower, educate, and represent all members.

EEUK is active in influencing positive change in both the UK and overseas and provides input to UK government policy consultations and our Directors and Honorary Fellows influence international policy through the EU, OECD and United Nations.

What is their impact?

What does membership offer me?  A host of member benefits including:

  • Richard Beresford Bursary to support the personal development of early career enterprise and entrepreneurship educators.
  • Major discounts to attend the leading global enterprise and entrepreneurship education conference, IEEC worth up to £170 per staff member.
  • Free attendance at EEUK Enterprise Exchange events (£125 for non-members).
  • Major discounts to apply for the EEUK Fellowship £75 discount for each staff member.
  • Discounted fee and ‘fast track’ to Fellowship of The RSA.
  • Exclusive discounts at partner events and activities.
  • Opportunities to host and contribute to events raising awareness of members’ activity & expertise.
  • Enterprise Education and Research Project Fund so far £127,000 has been awarded to members.

How would I find out more?

Visit the Enterprise website.
Sign up to the mailing list to be kept informed (don’t worry, it’s fully GDPR compliant!).
