The Students' Union is run for students, by students. This February they’re holding elections to decide their new Officer team, this is your chance to stand for the position of an Officer if you think you would be a great fit in one of the five exciting roles.

Each Officer role has a specific focus to make sure that the team is well balanced and ready to deal with any issues students might have.

These roles are:

  • SU President: Takes a lead in engaging all students with the work the Students' Union does
  • Community Officer: Focuses on work within the local community, including volunteering, charity fundraising, environmental work, and more
  • Education Officer: Works with Course Reps and senior committees
  • Equalities Officer:  Makes sure that all students are treated fairly and equally irrelevant of any personal characteristic that they may have
  • Activities Officer: Works with sports clubs, societies, events and student media groups

Sound interesting but you want to know more? Find out everything you need to know about the Elections, including how to nominate yourself at the SU website.
