A participatory research project that questions politics of memory regarding Jewish heritage and the role of the Holocaust in contemporary thinking, with emphasis on the
Polish condition.

Taking "The Turkey Prince” Chasidic allegory by Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav as a starting point for the piece, Szymon Kasprowicz has developed a multimedia installation, which serves as a space for an intimate one to one experience and dialogue.

Members of the public are asked to enter the room one at a time, experience the material and respond to it. The research aim of the activity is to get feedback from the participants in the form of video recordings that will be added to the artist’s video-essay, which is presented as a main part of the installation.

Szymon Kasprowicz is an independent artist and producer based in Lublin, Poland. In his interdisciplinary practice he mostly focuses on various aspects of identity, subjectivity and interdependence, both individual and collective.
