Clearing - September 2024

We are now closed to international applications for this September 2024 intake. However, we would welcome international applicants to apply for the next available intake. Full details on how to apply and guidance on the application process can be found on the international pages of the University’s website.

We are pleased to offer places for international students through Clearing. You can apply for places, whether you've already applied to university or not.

Clearing, is your gateway to securing a place at a UK university. It's designed to match students with unfilled university places. Don't worry if you haven't applied yet—Clearing is open to everyone! However, in order to check your suitability, we require you to email osclearing@hud.ac.uk and submit the following documents:

  • Your academic transcripts and final certificates (if you have your final documents).
  • Evidence of English Language.
  • Copy of your Passport.
  • If you have studied in the UK previously, please provide a copy of your previous visa and academic documentation to confirm what you have studied.
  • If you have had any visa refusals (student or visitor) for the UK or any other country, please send copies of the documentation confirming this.

Our experienced and dedicated team will support you through your clearing application. Our international admissions team will respond to you as a priority and provide further guidance of the next steps.

We're Here to Help!

We understand that the Clearing process can seem overwhelming, with the tight deadlines and all the details to handle, such as obtaining a student visa and finding accommodation. Important Information

English Language Requirements

Please ensure that you meet our requirements, see our English Language qualifications and requirements page.

As you are applying in clearing, you must have met our English language requirements at the point of application as there is insufficient time to still do so for the September 2024 intake. If you do not currently meet the necessary English language standards, we encourage you to apply for the next available intake. This will give you more time to obtain an IELTS or one of our other accepted tests, or to complete one of our Pre-Sessional English Language Programmes.

Visa Refusals

It is important to declare any previous visa refusals. Having a previous visa refusal does not necessarily mean that you will not be offered a place to study with us. Providing this information ensures we can make an accurate decision regarding your application.

We look forward to welcoming you to Huddersfield and helping you take the next step towards your academic and professional goals!
