Inclusivity and Health Inequalities in Research

Professor Nick Hardiker has been in a research leadership position for over a decade. He is Dean of the University of Huddersfield's School of Human & Health Sciences.

Nick has over 25 years' experience of theoretical and applied research in nursing and digital health, with a particular focus on health records and nursing languages. Nick has previously held digital health leadership roles at the UK Royal College of Nursing and the International Council of Nurses and was for 10 years Editor-in-Chief of Informatics for Health and Social Care. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and the American College of Medical Informatics.

Professor Mark Radford is Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England, Chief Nurse and Deputy CEO for Health Education England. He is also one of HEE’s two Deputy Chief Executives. Mark has worked in perioperative, emergency and intensive care in the UK and Europe and was previously Chief Nurse of a University Teaching Hospital and Consultant Nurse in emergency and trauma care. Mark is Professor of Nursing at Birmingham City and Coventry Universities, and has published research on staffing, advanced practice, perioperative and trauma care.
