We are an award winning, professionally accredited School with a strong focus on excellence in interdisciplinary teaching and research. The School consists of four linked Departments – Nursing, Allied Health Professions Sport & Exercise, Psychology and Behavioural & Social Sciences, and is home to over 5,400 undergraduates, 1,700 postgraduates and nearly 250 postgraduate research students. We are a truly international School with staff and students from over 85 countries.

Department of Behavioural and Social Sciences

The Department of Behavioural and Social Sciences offers a range of courses around social work and social care, and in the broad area of the social sciences.

Department of Nursing

The Department of Nursing offers a range of courses that equip student to work in a variety of healthcare settings as nurses.

Research

Our research crosses disciplinary boundaries between health, psychology and social science, focussing on solutions to ‘real-world’ problems for people and organisations.
