Professional Manager Apprenticeship (Level 5)

About Pete 

Since joining Huddersfield Business School in 2014, Pete has taught on undergraduate and post graduate courses in the UK and Hong Kong. His experience of apprenticeships is extensive: he has been Course Leader of the School's Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship since it was launched in 2018 and has successfully supported 21 learners to pass their End Point Assessment;  he is also an external examiner for degree apprenticeship programmes at two other institutes. Pete is very interested in the transfer of training and learning from theory to practice and based his PhD on this. He continues to publish work in this area in international journals. Pete is also a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. 

Prior to joining Huddersfield Business School, Pete worked as a vocational assessor before becoming a Lead Internal Verifier and Area Manager for a training provider. He then worked in learning and development for seven years, becoming a Chartered Member of the CIPD and gaining a Masters degree in Human Resource Development.
