Best University Workplace

In 2014, we were named Times Higher Education (THE) Best University Workplace. The University claimed top spot in every one of the four key areas which were covered in a survey sent out to staff at higher education institutions across the country.

The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bob Cryan, was delighted with the result: “It has made me very proud indeed. Our staff are our biggest asset and hugely important to the success of the University. Time and time again I have seen them go the extra mile for their students, which is what it’s all about. So it’s pleasing to know that they are happy in their work and in the direction that the University is heading.'
